Happy New Year Peats Family.

Welcome to 2013, we all hope that you had as good a time as we did this year at Peats, we reckon that it was our BEST Festival to date.

The 2012 Festival was another wild success with nearly 10,000 people flocking to Glenworth Valley over three days to experience Australia's pre-eminent festival experience.

Glenworth Valley was transformed into a visual feast of color, sound, creativity and joy as 200 musical acts, together with a cornucopia of arts and healing modalities, offered Festival goers a playground of ideas and new acts to discover.

This year we upped the ante and focused on creating a total experience for all. The Festival hosted a brilliant showcase of art installations, kooky themed venues, multimedia, theatre, dance, cabaret, comedy, circus, and much, much more.  

Now in its ninth year, we have watched the Festival grow from humble beginnings into an event that is now internationally known and loved. The 2012 installment of Peats Ridge promised to be everything brilliant that has been offered in previous years and a whole new world of wonder - and it lived up to expectations!

One of the names on everyone's lips was Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. Sharon took the stage, belting out throaty, soulful wails that got literally thousands dancing right off the bat, then taking the audience through a series of '60s dance moves like the Funky Chicken and the Mashed Potato, while backed by some of the tightest funk this side of James Brown.

The John Butler Trio brought in the New Year by enchanting and delighting fans with an acoustic set, peppered with crowd pleasing hits such as "Oceans" and "Zebra" prompting a riverside sing-a-long for the 5,000 strong crowd ready to bring in the New Year by the Bellbird stage.

We have to thank you, our loyal Festival family, for making Peats so special. We are lucky to have such a fantastic and ever growing team that returns year after year, moving heaven and earth to create a space in which you can feel free, inspired and joyful.
