VOLUNTEERING AT PEATS RIDGE 2011 

Why not sign up to Volunteer at Peats Ridge Festival, work a few shifts and get to enjoy bringing in the New Year with Goyte and the new friends you've made!

Volunteers provide an invaluable service, operating in a wide variety of roles across the Festival. We are still looking for people over 18 years of age with or without experience to fill shifts in:

• Hospitality and Retail (pre-, during and post festival)
• Labour Construction & Trade (pre- and post festival)
• Marketing, Media, Sponsorship and Admin (during the festival)
• Sustainability, Clean Up and Waste (pre-, during and post festival)
• General Tasks such as traffic Control, Runner, Wristbanding (pre- and during the festival)

In exchange for Volunteering, you will receive a three-day festival pass to Peats Ridge 2011 including early bird camping. All you need to bring is camping gear and a can-do attitude - too easy!

The application form will help us to determine where your skills will be best applied. Our Volunteer Management Team will assess your application and offer you a role (or roles) based on the answers you provide. If you are unhappy with any role you have been offered, let our Management Team know and we will try to find something more suitable for you. 

All volunteers need to buy a volunteer ticket for the Festival which we refund on successful completion of the agreed shifts at the Festival. To buy your volunteer ticket go to http://peatsridgevolunteers.oztix.com.au More information about the process further down on this page.

You are required to complete one or more of the following:

• Three shifts between 28th Dec – 5th January, including one compulsory night shift (starting after 4pm) OR one shift after 1st January (inclusive)
• One night shift between 28th – 31st Dec AND one shift after 1st January (inclusive)
  
• Four shifts on site any time up to the 28th Dec (inclusive)
• Two shifts from 1st Jan onwards
• Complete 7 shifts from 2nd to 8th of January 2012 (special conditions and incentives apply)

Shifts are 5-6 hours each including sign in and out and any pre-shift briefings, although maybe slightly longer or shorter, depending on the role.

PEATS RIDGE VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT SYSTEM AND HOW IT WORKS

Due to the success of last year’s Volunteer Programme, we are bringing back the Volunteer Deposit System for 2011. The deposit system works like this: All volunteers need to buy a volunteer ticket for the Festival which we refund on successful completion of the agreed shifts at the Festival.

Volunteer tickets are the same price as the adult season pass that’s $334.60 including admin fees. You will receive a refund of $324 to your credit card post Festival.

The payment of deposits has helped us to attain a group of hard working, honest and reliable individuals who’ve become part of the Peats Ridge Family.

If your application is rejected for any reason your deposit will be refunded.

DEPOSIT OPTIONS

1. Full amount of $334.60 prior to submitting Volunteer registration form.
   

2. Two instalments of $167.30 each. First $167.30 due prior to submitting Volunteer registration form (use 1^st instalment option), second $167.30 due by 20th December (use 2^nd instalment option) This option is not available any longer, please pay in FULL
   

How to make a deposit

Please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Read through the Volunteer Agreement  and make sure you agree to all the terms and conditions before continuing with your application.

Step 2 Pay your first deposit through the Peats Ridge Volunteers page at Oztix http://peatsridgevolunteers.oztix.com.au

Option 1: pay the full amount of $334.60

Once you have paid your deposit you will receive your Volunteer e-ticket. Then, click on the link below to register your details on Shiftboard. Please enter your Oztix Order Number in the registration form.

Option 2: pay the first instalment of $167.30 only

Once you have paid your deposit you will receive a receipt. Then, click on the link below to register your details on Shiftboard. Please enter your Oztix Order Number in the registration form.

IF YOU REGISTERED AS A VOLUNTEER IN 2009 OR 2010, PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER AGAIN. Please send an email to volunteer@peatsridgefestival.com.au with your OZTIX Order Number which you will find on your Volunteer e-ticket.

Step 3: Once your payment has been confirmed and your application has been approved you will receive your login details for Shiftboard. Login, check your details are correct and familiarise yourself with the system.

Step 4: In a couple of days you will be emailed an invitation with details of a suitable volunteer role. Once you have received this you are able to login to Shiftboard to choose your shifts online.

Step 5 (Only applicable to volunteers who chose Option 2): Once you are ready to make your second instalment please go to the Peats Ridge Volunteers page at Oztix and proceed with the payment 2nd Instalment by 20th December 2011 at the latest  http://peatsridgevolunteers.oztix.com.au

Then please send an email to volunteer@peatsridgefestival.com.au with your Second Oztix Order Number. We will then process your ticket and you will receive an e-ticket, this may take up to three weeks.

Terms and Conditions of Volunteer Application

You will need to pay your deposit in full by 20th December 2011. If you do not pay the full deposit amount of $334.60 or two half instalments of $167.30 by this date, without prior agreement with us, you will lose your first deposit instalment and will not be allowed on site.

If you find that you are unable to volunteer and let us know by 16th December 2011, you are able to use your payment for a fully transferable Peats Ridge 2011 ticket at the same costs.

If you are unable to volunteer due to illness or circumstances beyond your control, you must provide a doctor's certificate or other proof to be eligible for a refund.

A deposit of $324 will be returned to you via Oztix using the Credit Card you have supplied for your payment. All deposits will be refunded after the Festival by 31 January 2012. No deposits will be refunded before the Festival for any reason.
