Fronted by Novacastrian artisan and diva, Kira Puru, Kira Puru and the Very Geordie Malones want you to get your sleazy dance moves on.

The wine-stricken, dark-blues and jazz influenced, "poppy" four-piece is driven by the low, rumblin' tones of the bass complimented with a bit o' understated and sometimes syncopated drum beats. However, you'll also find little sections of what some have called 'ripping', stadium-ax solos and the melodic vocals of miss Kira herself. Her soulful vocal lines inspired by all the great jazz divas of the past and her live stage presence harnessing the attitude of all combined. When asked what audience members should expect, they reply: "ultimately, we wanna get you inspired, make you feel as if you were pulled back through time and placed in a smoky basement-bar in the thirties."
