JALU

Jalu is an original outfit from Byron Bay / Sydney. Founding member Prem Puri planted the seed Jalu in 2003. After several years of studying Indian spirituality, music, culture and food, he returned to his birth land with the intention of seeking out fellow souls to join with and collaborate on a musical project of depth and originality. The provocative lyrical content as well as the rich sound of Jalu is profoundly influenced by Prem's personal journey whilst in India.

The current amazing collection of musicians are influencing the Jalu sound /vibration which is evolving into a mix of Roots, Indigenous and World Music with a hint of Rock of the eastern influenced kind a la The Tea Party, Oka, John Butler and Xavier Rudd.
