IBO JAH

Ibo Jah, born and raised in Port Antonio, Jamaica, was privy to the uprising of Rastafari and also, to it's oppression. Ibo Jah has brought to Australian audiences the lyrical patwa and poetry of true Jamaican deejay toasting. Since his arrival he has contributed greatly to the music industry and to the popularity of reggae music. He has performed at the Woodford Festival, the Nimbin Festival, The Big Day Out 2007 and Peats Ridge in the early days when it was the Glenwood Valley Festival. Ibo Jah has two radio music programmes a week, Radio Skid Row for 4 hours a week and Koori Radio for a 2 hour show. Ibo Jah has a talent for bringing people together, whether it be on the dancefloor or getting involved in a community project.
