FOOD STALLHOLDERS

Well Hello all you wonderful culinary Geniuses who are about to apply for this years Peats Ridge.

Get creative and send us your proposed menus. This is a Green Awards winning festival so obviously we love those of you who work sustainable practices within your Catering business and our preferences are to use those of you who buy organic or biodynamic food, low pesticide etc. 

We also love stalls who support local farmers buying local produce reducing the carbon footprint of transport and improving freshness.

Using Biodegradable crockery and cutlery is a must as is understanding our 3-bin system for waste handling and using the festival supplier for Biodegradable cleaning products as they come on as a sponsor and give great deals to the stalls. 

Bottled water and soft drinks are purchased through the festival and this is mandatory and a condition of participation. You cannot bring your own in but can make your own drinks. There are limitations on coffee, chai and lemonade so get creative and come up with something else. 

The applications are now open so let that inner masterchef out and surprise us with a menu to die for. Lets face it they are there for four days and if you want them coming to you every day you had better wow them with what you do.

This year we are looking for:

• General food stalls
• Delicatessen style stalls
• Local producers

Applications are on a first come first serve basis so don't delay apply today! Your application must be submitted in full and all supporting material delivered before midnight on 21st November 2011 or it will not be considered.

All vendors must abide by the sustainability principals and policies of the Festival including:

• The use of either re-useable or compostable crockery.
• Participation in drinking container refund scheme (where a deposit is charged to customers for all drinking vessels) to ensure waste is deposited correctly (refund provided upon deposit).
• The removal of all bulky waste items generated by the vendor from the Festival site at the end of the Festival (this includes polystyrene boxes / crates / pallets / fabrics / waste food / signage etc).
• Participation in the Environmental Inductions (waste & water) provided by the Festival.
